Sports Drink Label Analyser
Compare carbohydrate, salt and sodium per bottle and per litre using prepared-drink label values. See each calculation clearly.
Compare two prepared drinks
Example values are fictional. Replace them with the current label. For powder, use the prepared-drink values after following the manufacturer's mixing instructions.
How the arithmetic works
Amount in your bottle = label amount × prepared volume ÷ label basis. Sodium in mg = salt in grams × 1,000 ÷ 2.5. Per-litre sodium = sodium on the label basis × 1,000 ÷ basis in ml. Sugars are part of carbohydrate: do not add them again.
This reads a label; it does not prescribe sodium, fluid or fuel. Follow individual clinical advice where relevant. Electrolytes do not make overdrinking safe.
Use the result in context
Two similar bottles can provide different amounts of fuel and sodium. Start with the prepared serving basis, then compare equal volumes or the amount you actually intend to use. This tool accepts the label figures you enter and does not maintain a brand database.
Sources and method
Formula details appear with the tool. Label arithmetic does not measure absorption, hydration status or individual requirements.
