HydrateWise
Sources and editorial approach
See how HydrateWise researches, sources, labels and updates hydration guidance, including its editorial process and commercial policy.
HydrateWise prefers public-health bodies, professional position statements, standards organisations and peer-reviewed research. Every long-form guide lists the sources used. Calculators expose their formulas and safety limitations beside the result.
Editorial process
Software-assisted drafting may be used to organise material, but health claims are checked against the sources shown on the page. Content is written as general education, avoids diagnosing readers and distinguishes an observed measurement from an intake prescription. Substantive updates receive a visible update date.
HydrateWise is not currently presented as clinician-reviewed. A professional review will only be claimed when a named, appropriately qualified reviewer has assessed the relevant page.
Benjamin Dickman operates HydrateWise and is the contact for editorial corrections. The HydrateWise byline identifies site-produced educational content; it does not imply a named clinician has reviewed the page. Generated illustrations do not document product testing.
Commercial independence
Paid links are labelled. Product recommendations do not alter calculator formulas, medical cautions or editorial conclusions. Guides without a genuinely relevant recommendation do not receive a generic product panel.
