Bottle count and schedule
Water Bottle & Refill Planner
Choose the container you already use. The planner converts a daily estimate into full bottles, a final partial serving and flexible checkpoints between the start and end of your day.
Convert litres, ounces, cups and bottles
Check a container's capacity or convert any volume. UK and US fluid ounces are different; “oz” must mean fluid ounces here, not weight.
Unit definitions
One litre = 1,000 ml. One UK fluid ounce = 28.4130625 ml; one US fluid ounce = 29.5735295625 ml. A metric cup is 250 ml; a US customary cup is approximately 236.588 ml. These are defined measures, not the capacity of every household mug.
Turn millilitres into a routine
Build a bottle and refill plan
Choose the container you actually carry and turn a daily estimate into visible refill checkpoints.
Your container plan
That is 5 full 500 ml containers. This describes container volume, not an instruction to finish a whole container at once.
Evenly spaced checkpoints
Suggested refill times
- Checkpoint 1Up to 500 ml before the next checkpoint
- Checkpoint 2Up to 500 ml before the next checkpoint
- Checkpoint 3Up to 500 ml before the next checkpoint
- Checkpoint 4Up to 500 ml before the next checkpoint
- Checkpoint 5Up to 500 ml before the next checkpoint
These are convenient checkpoints, not alarms or instructions to catch up quickly. Move them around meals, travel, meetings and comfort.
A plan should reduce mental arithmetic
A target expressed only in litres is easy to forget. A container plan makes it tangible: 2.5 litres becomes five 500 ml bottles, three full 750 ml bottles plus 250 ml, or two and a half 1 litre bottles. Other suitable drinks can contribute, so do not automatically add the complete bottle plan on top of tea, coffee, milk and everything else.
The refill times are evenly spaced conveniences rather than biological deadlines. Move them around meals, meetings, travel and exercise, and never consume a large missed amount rapidly simply to complete the graphic.
